Need to Narrow Down College List!

<p>I am a deaf female from Illinois who is planning on double majoring in business and technology. I want my list to narrow down to 8 schools. I don't know which schools are reaches/matches/safeties for me so please help me out! If you want to suggest any schools that may be a better fit, I'll gladly take any recommendations :)</p>

Rigorous Course Curriculum (All Honors or APs)
Senior Schedule: AP Human Geo, AP Stats, H Pre-Calc, H Mobile App Design, H French IV, H Earth Science, H World Lit</p>

<p>Extracurricular Activities:
-Varsity Basketball (4 years; Captain for 2 years)
-Volleyball (2 years)
-Recycle Club (3 years; leadership position)
-River Club (2 years)
-Global Initiative Club (2 years)
-I will be attending Explore Your Future at RIT this summer.
-Plenty of Community Service Hours (>70)</p>

<p>I would say your current stats are a good match for Marquette, U of Iowa, Hope, DePaul, Drexel and Loyola for sure. Have you visited Hope? We visited and my daughter applied there, but it wasn’t her favorite. Liked the town of Holland better than the campus itself. It also seemed like it could be overly conservative. If you are looking for merit scholarships, they aren’t very generous. </p>

<p>UIC seems so impersonal from kids we know who have gone there and transferred out. </p>

<p>You have a pretty good shot at UIUC even though your ACT is a little low.</p>

<p>Case is definitely a reach.</p>

<p>Indiana U is probably a safety.</p>

<p>What can your family afford? You have a number of OOS public Us which won’t offer you any financial aid.</p>

<p>We visited RIT in the spring. They have many, many deaf/hearing impaired students and it seemed that the support they provide to these students far exceeds anything I’ve seen at any other university. You may want to give them serious consideration.</p>
