Need to select one more subject test before registration for october test

The following subject tests are under consideration: MATH II, US HISTORY, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, LITERATURE.

i'm a rising senior.

MATH II: i have taken precalc hn w/ trig, but i have forgotten all trig since i did not perform well during the months that i've learned trig in junior year. However, MATH II is A MUST for me.

US HISTORY: I dropped out of APUSH first quarter junior year because of a heavy AP course load and switched to regular USH. scored a 600/600 on the SOL <--Virginia Standardized Test that assesses how much a student understands the concepts. However, in terms of concepts, APUSH is more extensive, so a student learns more in APUSH than in regular USH.

Physics: i took ap physics b, but the teacher was horrible and i worked my butt off to learn the concepts..scored a 2 on apexam. performed badly due to swine flu and surgery during junior year.

Chemistry: teacher was pregnant middle of year. performed badly due to swine flu and surgery during junior year. scored 2 on apexam

Literature: Took AP Language&Composition in junior year. scored 3 on apexam. loved the class, but I am taking literature class in senior year..and i never did any poetry/such reading in APLANG as in those on the literature subject test.

I MUST HAVE A SCIENCE. took biology hn but forgot everything, so biology is out of the question, even though i am taking ap bio senior year. physics and chem were my worst classes junior year. i got a higher grade in ap physics b than in apchem because of extra worksheets and assignments that easily bumped up my grade unlike those assignment in ap chemistry. however, i've taken chemistry hn in 10th grade and i feel that i understand much more of the concepts in apchem than in ap physics b

i personally dont like physics and chem after the health issues i've been through and my heavy course load. but it seems like i must choose chem and review BIG TIME.

so now, MATH II. check...and the only one left is USH, but i've forgotten so much info that i've learned in that regular USH class over the course of junior year, so i guess USH is a MUST.

MATH II, USH, and _________________

any ideas on how i can choose a science subject test to take?

I would honestly choose Bio, just because you seem rather weak in Chem and Physics and plus Biology is pure memorization, which can be learned in about a month if you really studied hard.

have you taken the bio subject test?
i heard there are two different bio subject tests?

Yes I have gotten a 800 on the Biology M test

I recommend Chem, Bio is a lot harder to get 800 on. Physics is even better curved.

I would think very carefully before taking the SAT II US history. I am also from Virginia, and also take SOLs. I got a 600 on my SOL, and a 5 on the AP exam. But I know a lot of my friends who got 600s on the SOL and 2s on the AP exam. This being said, I’ve heard that the SAT II is harder than the AP exam, so it is quite possible someone could get a 600 on the SOL and yet a 450 on the SATII. Not saying you will, and you might do really well, but make sure you think it through all the way, and don’t think that SOL score guarantees anything.

That being said, Literature is considered by some to be the hardest SATII exam (not counting the languages). It is extremely extensive, and if you didn’t do extremely well on the critical reading part of the SAT, you shouldn’t even consider it. In that case, perhaps you should go with USHistory. Is there not a language test you could possibly consider?

As for the sciences, you feel you understand chemistry better. Then you should definitely go for chemistry. No question about it, go with what you know.

But hey, I shall also be taking the subject tests in October! I live in southern virginia, so if you do too, perhaps we shall see eachother.

I think you should study biology, because it’s easy and quick, and it is mostly memorization, just as james11223 said.
But if Biology is completely out of the question, you should take Chemistry.
