I really want to go to UM:
I love the location and everything the city of Miami offers.
I got into every other school i applied to and leveled my choices down to Ohio State and UM.
I have one worry.

Im majoring in accounting/finance. I know OSU has a way better business school. However does that mean UM's business school sucks for undergrad. The school is ranked really well either way. I want to get into an MBA after I graduate and do about two years of work. Can I land a good job with my undergrad degree in accounting from UM? And Finally can I get just as good an MBA program as if I would have gone to OSU or my chances of getting into a good MBA program from UM's business undergrad school unlikely?

Both will serve you equally. My advice is to go to UM.

Where did you hear that OSU has a "way better" undergrad biz school? According to the Business Week rankings, they are essentially equal (with Miami actually having higher-stat students), within a few places of one another. In fact, Miami's accounting program is ranked #2, above many elite schools:

Go to Miami, no need to reconsider your decision if you like the school!

Art Vandelay, I got that from US News. I guess Businessweek thinks otherwise :D

Well the salaries are actually the same. $45,000 starting salaries (undergrad).
Not bad. I compared to other schools, and its quite indentical to Indiana (also got in), University of Florida, Michigan State (also got in), OSU, Maryland, Boston, Maryland and a ton of other top schools.
Thnx for the info Art, i guess Miami is an excellent choice after all.

Have fun at Miami!

thx!!
Miami it is :P
