<p>Okay, I am applying to Pomona RD. I was wondering do I really need to write the optional essay.</p>
<p>I mean I filled out the Questbridge application and wrote like 3 essays for that. Then I filled out my Common App, and that is another essay. (well actually the Common App one is just a better version of one of the QuestBridge essays.)</p>
<p>So what do you guys think? Would it help me get into Pomona?</p>
<p>I don’t think you have to… I was a QB kid and got in RD and didn’t do the supplement…I think you’re not even supposed to if you’re QB.</p>

<p>When I went to a info session at Pomona, the admissions officer said that it’s “optional, but not really optional.” However, I have heard a couple of people say they got in without it. Also the fact that you have extra essays for QuestBridge may vindicate you. But if you want to be safe, it’s best to write it.</p>
