Needed Assistance

Hey everyone, So I am a Colorado native and I am in love with CU Boulder. I have a cousin who works there and I visit the campus about twice a year. I take AP Classes and am going to join Speech and Debate Team as well as Swim team next semester, I took the ACT Plan Test and I have a chance of getting a 27-30. I haven't took the real ACT test yet, and I have done other things such as volunteered cleaning around Pueblo reservoir and some other things. I take AP Physics and AP english as well as an Architecture/Design class and get decent grades in them, but I have a problem. My grades suck terribly. Freshmen year I averaged a little over a 2.0, sophomore was terrible. I got a couple D's in my spanish class. Junior year, I am starting to become a good student and I have about a 3.1 weighted GPA right about now for this semester. I really am going to get my head in the game next semester. But how are my chances? I really want to go here for architecture, and want to stay in-state. If I can't get in I have considered going to another college for a while and transferring. What do you guys think? Help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi! You seem like a pretty good candidate, just practice, practice, practice and manage that 30 on the ACT. 3.1 GPA is a GREAT improvement, and the college will definitely notice that, keep doing well and you’ll get it higher, but you need to put in a LOT of work. Just work on ECs and make sure you have FANTASTIC essays. Chance my latest post please?

But if you score 30 for real… CU-Boulder becomes a safety.

Thank you guys!
