<p>Should I hit that "Refund" button? What exactly is the process like and when would I receive the check?</p>
<p>I’m in the same boat…I would wait until all the charges are finalized…I haven’t been charged for Orientation yet so it should come up soon.</p>
<p>Agreed…you are better off to wait until all the charges are finalized and you are on campus. We’ve had refund checks mailed to the dorm, mailed home, and emailed to the student to go pick up at the bursar’s office. On multiple occasions they’ve SAID they did one thing, and they really did one of the others. (told student to come pick it up and when they get there, they find out that it was mailed home…) Also, if you are getting any financial aid, it’s not uncommon to see adds and subtracts on your account, too. One semester, we had the same dumb $70 charge (can’t even remember what for) added and subtracted 4 times.</p>
<p>Yes, I agree wait until everything is final. I don’t understand why but they will add and subtract charges. Also make sure it is correct and you have been charged for everything. One semester they didn’t charge my son for his meal plan and refunded his excess and then he got a bill sometime in October for the meal plan. </p>
<p>Also the easiest way to get the money is to sign up for direct deposit to your account.</p>
