^really? everyone i see is always in ucla clothes/sweats. most of the kids are also from small town nor cal, so how is it different at other UCs? anyone else weigh in?

ucla does remind me of high shcool.

people are more dressed up than in SD .... atleast when i visited the SD campus.

you see a lot of people (girls) at UCLA going all out..... its not the majority of girls, but there is a good amount of girls..........at SD it appears like some people just roll out of bed and go to class. .

I think people who go to SD are attracted by strong bio-related programs, and you don't even get enough time to sleep in order to maintain a good gpa in these majors, so they don't dress up like UCLA Northies.

do you people spend a lot of time on north campus? b/c i'm pretty sure that i don't see too many girls "dressed-up" on south campus. but then again, i don't spend my time looking at girls. i mean, i know that i'll sometimes wear a skirt to class but i wouldn't classify that as dressing-up...

i'm with you namaste. (even though there are definitely craze fashion conscious ppl here...but you'll probably find that anywhere..)

yeah seriously, the only dressed up people i see are 1. sorority girls going to a party or 2. people from other schools/LA locals who dress to impress when they dont need to

girls arent even from LA... so if nor cal kids are like that, then any UC school is

:D

ajfdlkjafldk

yea im a north campus guy

People are either getting caught up with their own image or getting caught up with other people's image. Let them be; but then again you guys are just pointing them out. To suggest however that this is a UCLA issue might be an unfair thing to say.

My bro went to SD and that's the norm there - people on their pajamas, everywhere.

In LA you cannot assume it'll be the same. Let's say in Texas you'd see more people wearing cowboy type wear: hats, belts, whatever. At least we're backing up the image. We're not all flair; we've got brains first and foremost.

I am from LA btw. There's probably a homer bias but it's all fair. Outsiders bash us (LA in general); we've got to stand up for something.
