Hi, right now I'm a (potential) double major in Economics/Business Administration with a concentration in Finance at UNC Chapel Hill from NJ. I'm a sophomore, so I haven't even been admitted to the business program yet. To get it out there, I'm most interested in going into I-banking after graduating. I'm pretty much willing to do whatever looks best/is most attractive to recruiters in order to get that first internship and job. I really do enjoy both subjects, but I've recently had the urge to go abroad next year, for a semester or a year-- making it VERY difficult to double major. It's pretty tough to even stick with a Business Major and no double major, given the places I want to study/ the curriculum of the business major here. So i've begun to think about dropping the Business major to a Minor, and sticking with an Econ minor. So far, I have a 4.0 GPA in both of these subjects, and a 3.8 overall. What are peoples thoughts on the negatives to my i-banking future? Do you think it would be much better to stick with Business, and abandon the hope of going abroad? Business Administration is one of UNC's top-rated programs. I hope to work in NYC, if that makes any difference.
Sorry for making this so long-winded. Thanks so much, in advance!
