negativity be gone!

I've noticed a lot of flame posts on this board and it's surprised me a bit. some people on this board really aren't holding back on being outright mean to some other users. may I remind you that this is a forum on the internet and we don't know each other personally. I'm not just talking about being mean to "trollers", but many users on this site are just plain mean when pointing out a person's flaws, like calling them "rude" and criticizing their ethics. Since I was waitlisted last year to the schools I applied to, I decided to reapply again this year. The attitude on college confidential from last year compared to this is disappointing really. it may be increased pressure or competition, but we all need to be reminded we're in the same boat. So less flames and more encouragement! I'm not saying you need to sugar coat anything, still be honest, just don't be mean! respect each other's views and support each other. good luck!

I agree, I myself have flaw to this illness called negativity. If you find me being overly negative just quote this... Everyone follow:

I, principalviola, solemnly swear to not only uphold my personal ethics, but also maintain a positive relationship with other members of college confidential***.

*** The troll clause: This does not hold true for those who have collectively, by the college confidential community, been identified as either a) Trolls or b) those who break the pledge.

EVERYONE FOLLOW... :)

I, Istoleyournose, solemnly swear to not only uphold my personal ethics, but also maintain a positive relationship with other members of college confidential***.

EVERYONE FOLLOW...

Sorry Hotckiss, I'm happy to take the pledge but I won't apologize for being mean to trolls; they made the decision to pollute the CC, it's only right that someone flames them back.

Hence the troll clause. :)

I, Saer, solemnly swear to not only uphold my personal ethics, but also maintain a positive relationship with other members of college confidential***.

(I almost didn't do the pledge... Then I saw the troll clause. <3)

My personal code of ethics? What if, hypothetically, I have dirt for ethics? Then what? For your sakes, I hope that's not true!

I, starcrossed, solemnly swear to not only uphold my personal ethics, but also maintain a positive relationship with other members of college confidential***.
