We tried this two years ago with no luck. There are several links on this topic here on CC. Best approach is to be professional, polite , not demanding or with any attitude of expectations, etc. Explain your situation and list any unique financial situations (job loss, unexplained high FAFSA/PROFILE, etc), then attach copies of the other awards your child has received. If the school you are writing to is a competitor to one of the ones you’ve already received a favorable financial package from, you may get lucky. My two cents.
