I am transferring to Cornell beginning in the fall and I was wondering if anyone knew about the rugby team here. Are they good? are the guys cool? do they have their own house? do they have good parties?

any info would be helpful.. also feel free to just talk about the game of rugby on here or give your stats or whatever..

i guess ill start, 5'11 205.. FLANKER/8

I don't know much about the rugby team but I do think one of the fraternity houses is comprised of mainly rugby players(I could be wrong about this). I also think that professor Dexter Kozen advises the rugby team.

ha the girls are better than the guys but they are still good because we are such a big school. fiji and chi phi have a lot of ruggers. they drink , of course, as a team, because thats what rugby players do.

I'm planning on trying to play when I get there, I added the group on facebook so hopefully I can find out when things start happening

if you are a girl, so am i, and i play rugby and i can give you the details. if you are a guy, just go ahead and message one of the captains or group officers listed or try becoming a fan of Cornell Rugby on facebook pages and they should have the details listed, because most likely their pre-season/rookie stuff will be starting this weekend (O-Week) along with the womens.

curugger, do the girls and guys team get together alot to party? and do you think ill get treated like **** because i played for UB last year?

I'm sure you will be fine! you are big red now. you just have to go through the whole being a rookie thing again. we have a girl who transferred from another suny school on our team and its fine.

the girls and guys socialed once or twice last year and we are gunna try to more this year. but the guys social with other womens club teams if i am correct, at least last year they did.

I don't mind being a rookie again. At least I don't have to learn the game like last year. Thanks for all the help CURUGGER, I look forward to seeing you on the pitch and @ socials.
