Getting over ambitious and not having enough safeties is killing me. I think its the same for most of us.

I got into to Emory class 2023 ED

Don’t you guys think that we gotta make this thread more informative.
In my rejection letter from beloit I was advised to update my COF and demonstrate that I could finance at least 18K/year.
Now the question is that are the student who got into beloit willing, or financially capable, to take that step.
I also checked the college website and found that the combined merit-based and need-based only covers the tuition fee, excluding room and boards and insurance bla bla . In that case the student should demonstrate the minimum financial contribution of 14k.

My point is that it would be better if the net cost of attendance is mentioned in the thread (if possible) like our seniors have done in the past.
I mean beloit is just an exemplary college. Future students applying to US should know what to expect, otherwise they will end up feeling depressed like me lol.
Rejected from most of the schools 
accepted to some but not NOT RICH ENOUGH to attend.

That’s a really great thing you said @givemeabreak99 . I’ve colleges rejecting me directly saying that if I am able to procure more funds that they would accept me. And then there are other colleges who vaguely claim that they meet full need, while they don’t.
This lack of information is very toxic in that we end up working so hard on the college which we could never afford or will never accept us given the high financial need.

If it’s all right with you, I really urge you to also include the net CoA and yeah also update the list we already have in place. Let’s make it realistic for all of us.

If anyone has something else in mind feel free to express it.
