nepali thread.

bad luck...

just do what u can... then if you get a low score (hopefully not), you can always send in an explanation to the college. a typhoid before the SAT is bad.
good luck!! u taking an SAT prep course?

i know exactly how u feel sweta. i got a 102 fever on thursday and my SAT I was on saturday. it sucked!!! I was still taking antibiotics when i appeared for the SAT. It went pretty bad, as expected, but I took it again later and did reasonably enough to get into a good college. Dont freak out about it. EVen if it goes wrong, you can take it again.
Hope u get well soon.
moving on, hey all the budha guys, 444 here...Life is cool, its treating me well n hope the same for u all as well.
have fun guys

the next time u can take the SAT is december i think because the nov deadline is gone. so ED will be out of the question if you really spoil ur SATs. are u applyin ED/EA anywehre?

oh sorry, i dont know abt the deadlines and stuff. still, there is no point in freaking out. stay calm n hope for the best. n yeah, u can early ED II as well, which is pretty much the same thing. bottomline, dont worry, do ur best and hope for the same.

hey d'u know when the ED II decisions are out? April?

no,the decisions are usually out on the first week of february. some collegestake forever, even up to april though.

st. xaviers is near to my home...i miss that area

oh ok.. thanks

421 and 444,

which courses are u taking this semester? and how's your college on basis of sleep deprivation? I am pretty fd-up now man. life is hell here if u want to go to every class and do every homework. and it's only 3rd week.

get well soon, sweta.

Aaron, Nov SAT deadline is 30th Sept.... so there is time left

by the time you take the Oct 8 SAT, the deadline will be long gone. tht's wut i meant.

but if you are absolutely sure you'll screw the oct 8 SAT, go ahead and register for the nov SAT. if you are plannin to wait and see how the oct SAT goes, the next option will be dec.

have u ppl decided which places to apply for in ED I ??

umm.. yes

i've still to put together a good list of colleges for regular decision though... :(

I think if one does not want or need to give the SAT 2 , he/she shud always give sat a 2nd try.
I read on the blogs of MIT adcomm, that it is reasonable to take sat twice coz the final scores which are best composite never come in one siting. 2 times is ideal for it gives in the best u have......

But again my view .. dont just give again for the sake of giving it.

And who wud anyways wanna retake if he/she gets a 2150+

well u can take the sat twice or thrice and still take the SAT IIs! there are plenty of test dates available.

however, not if you start as late as NOW!

exactly...i feel; the same

hmm, dint know a nepali thread had been started
anyway, aaron mora, stop with ur pidit jokes...btw, any Lehigh or washington Univ in st. louis Ed applicants here? i hear BNKS students apply a lot in Lehigh, plus how come so many Nepalis get rejected or deferred?
btw, washington univ a good choice for ED in terms of aid?

hi himalayan dreams...i suggest that u dont apply to lehigh for ED.... because they dont give good aid at all.... lehigh doesnt reject many ppl but tells me that they'll need to pay more if they want a place... they told me to pay around $12000.... washington uni is a good choice but the competition for scholarships is really tough...what are ur stats btw....

abt the SAT IIs...dont take them unless the colleges require them..taking SAT I twice is not a bad idea.... ur score will most definitely go up in the second sitting.... i dont have a good idea abt the new SAT...sorry abt that.... but u have time and u haven't done as well as u have liked in the first sitting, taking it the second time is a really good idea

hi himalayandreams, wustl is mine!!!.. jk

anyways, didn't know they accept many nepalis at lehigh. had heard otherwise.
