Yeah that was a bit weird. I'm a nerd but I'm not like the smartest, I only have an average family, and I'm not conservative either.

bookwarm when u made ur comment u said that smart people are conservative.
so are u saying that to be smart or be successful in life, u have to be a republican? if u think that then ur pretty messed up.

dudes will like girls who are hot or at least are interesting to talk to. The stereotypical nerdy girl doesn't get dudes because most overachiever girls are the people that a class despises. i mean if your a good person and dont let ur perfectionism and **** show, then you might have a chance. but in my class this year, theres a group of girls who cry when a test comes back in chemistry. its stupid ass **** like that that everybody hates. just learn how to be a human being and people will like you

I'm going to be honest here.
You need to stop over analyzing yourself and asking if guys like this or like that, because there are literally millions of guys out there and what 2 or 3 guys say on a thread in a forum about college will not determine your fate with guys, it's just not that easy>
I know several girls like you (conservative, well-off parents, etc), but they have confidence and they just go for it and just be themselves around the guys . . and everyone loves them
If you can't find your answer in a book, you won't find it on an internet forum. The only way you will find out if guys prefer your style is if you actually go to some social gathering and experiment yourself.
Take a deep breath, alright .. it won't be scary. It'll be an experience, and i think if you put yourself in that environment just once, you will be more confident of what guys like and about yourself.
I'm not saying go and be a partee girl but just be yourself, don't make everything so critical . .if you have no luck with guys now, it'll probably get better
good luck dear
