So, I go back in like 5 days! August 6th! Who else has done shopping, packing, and when do you guys go back? I have my laptop case and I'm putting all my supplies in right now!

i don’t go to a boarding school :D

Haha, yeah, same.

But I looove school-supply shopping. :D

lol same here
it’s good to know that other people have the same school supply fetish hahah!!
i’ve had that fetish since kindergarten yupp

i don’t understand how you would pack for college
would you bring lamps and everything?? wouldn’t packing require tons of suitcases???

5 days…? o.O Wow your school starts really early.
I have nothing to pack except a few binders and a pen. But it’s still tons of fun rearranging my binders and cleaning out food from my backpack :D

I go to a public, “normal” school, so back to school stuff is not as exciting, or at least not to the majority. To me, is is so flippin’ fun. However, I think the sentimental value of shopping for school supplies, clothes, ect. is what really gets me. It stands for a fresh start and new possibilities, which means more than a few packs of paper and pencils.

I don’t go to a boarding school either. I go to a public mini-magnet. I’ve always found school supply shopping and packing fun… I get to meet my new teacher on the 4th! (Yes teacher, I only have 1 in person class LOL)

As for packing for college… I guess most people buy the actually school supplied while in town… maybe the dorm furniture too.

I start on the 25th. So much longer to wait. (Oh well, I can prep out my debate cases by then since the topic doesn’t get released until the 15th! It make me so mad I have to wait two extra weeks for the topic than I normally would just because it’s the beginning of the year!)

I start shopping on Wednesday. I’m so excited. I love rearanging everything in my backpack (which I need to clean out soon too) and redoing my binder until it’s perfect. I go to a public high school, so no, packing for me. Oh well. :)

i’m glad that i don’t go to a boarding school…
haha but then some people love boarding schools

I’d like to, but for slightly different reasons than why most students like it. :)

yeah haha the only time i really wanted to go to boarding school was during my elementary years
i was OBSESSED with harry potter!!!

Ya, it never clicked with me until about a week ago that Harry Potter’s setting was a boarding school. :)

LOL I’m running around “OMG Where is my Calculator!” Then I realized I took it with my on trip and it’s in my blue knapsack however… I don’t know where that is! My calculus class doesn’t start until the 25th though.

Oh… and I borrowed an Algebra II book from a friend when I was in Algebra II (His personal property) I just found it. He’s never mentioned it, he must be a great friend! LOL

I love packing for school, too. Though for me, packing consists of packing a bag with my textbooks and school supplies (expect what I buy the first day), driving the two and a half miles to my normal, public high school a week before school starts, wandering the halls when they’re completely empty, and unloading stuff into my locker. I love the school when it’s that empty and peaceful. Oh, and by the way, I could put my textbooks in my locker two weeks before school starts at registration when I get them, but I sorta like to take them home and start looking at them.

I don’t go back until September 3rd :(

^That’s why I love it when my school hosts out annual debate tournament. I usually beat my coach to the school and the door is unlocked for us by a janitor before I get there so I can wander around the school. It’s amazing.

That’s also why I go to school each day about a half hour to 45 minutes before it starts. Most people get there 10 minutes before. So peaceful.

^ Sam ehere, but I hang out in the Latin room to do homework. THe teacher is really good at editting essays and I always have a few of those I have to do. He’s not very good at math though. I learned that the hard way.

:)

I go to a regular ol’ public school that doesn’t start until September 3rd.

I like school supply shooping - just the way all the colorful pencils line the aisles at the stores, lol - but I hate the idea of actually going back to school. I’m excited to get confirmation of my schedule in the mail in late August - nothing beats calling all your friends to see who’s in your classes, lunch, etc. :)

Hahah I always hang out in my Latin room :] I love it.
Once I had to stay after school to help my Latin teacher learn some math for his… some teacher exam thing lol. Awkward..
