Nervous About Harvard

Oh my gosh, ppl reply

You'll get into all of them. Your stats are already stunning (fantastic ECs), and your URM status will only help push your app to the top. Don't worry about all!

So the URM thing probably helps, but besides CR, you're SATs aren't so great...not even 25th percentile I believe. I would submit my ACT only.
Also, just a questions, why didn't you take the physics SAT II? That seems to be one of your fortes. Also, HYP require THREE SAT IIs. I hope you forgot to list the last one.
What were your AP scores? That would also play a key factor in the application. Also, I might have taken BC over stat, IMHO.
The work experience is nice, but did you only work around 4 months? That's not SUPER impressive.
I like the football thing and it stinks that you had to quit. That would've been a cool plus.
So anyway, sorry this sounds negative, but everyone else was so positive that I thought someone should bring you back to earth :). You are an impressive applicant but it's still a crapshoot in places as competitive as HYP.

The reason i did not take the SAT 2 in physics is that I am only able to take Physics 2 B at my school this year. When I was researching the quantum mechanics I taught it to myself over years for depth in one topic area of physics to produce advanced research, unfortuanely when you learn in depth you lose breath and so I do not know nearly as much about the other topics of Physics.

I know my SAT is pretty bad, but I had to send it in to Harvard and Princeton bc they require SAT 2s, but I only sent in my ACT to Yale. I know H and P require 3 but I had a debate tournament at University of Texas on the date I meant to take it in december, but I checked on thier websites and I can take it on Jan. 24th which I am going to do (already signed up).

I only worked during the summer. Man I couldn't hold a job and do that other stuff doing the school year. My AP scores were 5's on English and US History. I didn't take Chem (the class did not really prepare us for it) and Comp. Sci-bc I did not have time to study, bc I was studying for the SATs (the SATs were the week before).

I think my chances are a lot better at Yale than at the other two namely because they will only see the ACT and i applied under engineering (want to be a research engineer) which does not get as many apps at Yale, and Yale asks for the full report so I sent in the whole 16 page thing, as opposed to just the research descriptions for Harvard and Princeton.

Thanks for your negative post, it helps to hear the weakness in your app, bc that is what the Adcom's aregoing to say.
