I'm taking it on Saturday but I don't understand a lot of the information in the Barron's book because my pre-calc class teacher only teachers a moderate amount of what is on the test..
I think I'm going to get a 600....

I have taken a native language (800) nd biology subject test (660)
I know the native one won't count towards the requirement...so what should I do?
I'm taking SAT again in October since that's more important...

EDIT:
Aiming for top 20 schools.

Just keep reviewing, I’m sure you’ll get it :)

600’s kind of low for top 20…

Yea that’s why I’m not sure.

the Barrons book is considerably harder than the actual test. I took a Barrons practice test and got mid 600s on it the night before the May exam and got an 800 on the actual exam. And if you’re like me and your class didn’t go over vectors or parametric curves or things like that, I’d say to not kill yourself studying them. There will be maybe 1 question on it, just solidify what you do know.

Okay, yea I didn’t learn half of the things in the book, and the other half it was not too familiar.

That’s not a good sign.

Well I kind of know everything now lol.

Wow I just took a practice test and I struggled so hard on the second half…
I have the official guide, are the two tests there a bit easier than the real thing?

From what I’ve heard, it’s about the same.

Ok I’ll see what I get on that, I’m aiming for at least a 700…
Unfortunately it’s taking me an extra 20 minutes to finish the Barron’s test.

Barron’s completely destroyed my confidence, but the official guide brought it up a lot…I can actually finish in time (almost didn’t)
I hope it is the same because if that is the case then it is not that hard.

Last question before I take the real thing, I heard that on the real test the hard questions are harder than the official guide, is that true?

The hard questions on that will be harder than the easier questions on the practice tests. I don’t think the overall level of difficulty will be different.

Anyway, if you think Barron’s is bad and a confidence destroyer, don’t even look at John Chung’s…

@mrnephew omg john chungs… I had it for the regular sat. DESTROYED my confidence.

More like took it, smashed it, shredded it, set it on fire, and used the ashes to make coffee, and poured it over a black cat’s grave.
