I applied to Wharton ED and i feel that i'm a very competitive applicant except for one thing....my math IIC score of 620. I'm not one to make excuses, but when i got my detailed score report it was apparant that i skipped a question, and not a bubble.

On my transcript it is apparant that i am not a weak math student, having gotten a 750 on the SAT and a 740 on Math IC, along with A's in both AB and BC.

Do you thing that score will severely hurt my chances, or do you think the adcoms might notice it's inconsistancy?

i did but college board said there was nothing they could do, and the next testing date is this saturday but those scores wont get to penn on time :/ so i guess now if i get in it proves that sat's arent everything but if i don't i have something to blame it on

Well, luckily the SAT II doesn't automatically disqualify you...meaning that you still have a good chance.

Besides, even if you get deferred they will see the new score so hopefully you would get in during the RD rounds. Remember that 14% of deferred applicants get admitted in April so don't lose hope.

thanks, i'm pretty optimistic about it and if i get deferred they get to see my new SAT 2 which i'm sure will be good unless i manage to screw it up again :? i just the whole college admissions process to be over! lol senioritis is hitting me hard
