Nervous and excited at the same time.

Ok. So I'm going to FSU as a junior and I'm really excited but kinda scared too. It will be my first time away from home, and that scares me. lol. It's kinda funny because I'm 20 yrs. old and have more life experience than the typical freshman. Anyone else going through the same dilemma.

MASTERJ1688: The current issue of FSUVIEW has loads of information for new Noles. FSView & Florida Flambeau
Will you be living on or off campus? Do you already know some current students? What is your major? Once you establish some friendships, activities and routines, you probably won't want to go back home despite having to do your own laundry :)

^Then they reach that age where its fun again to hang with the 'rents...because it involves free food and drink.

I am in the same boat as you. I'm entering as a junior and I feel the same way. It's my first time away from home too and I still working with where to stay on campus or off campus, since the apartments look nice as well. It's pretty stressful, you know, because once you find out you are accepted, you know have to be concerned with the other stuff. However, I am excited because I know there is so much to do and learn!! It's true, the new issue of FSUView has some great imformation in it about housing, student life, etc, so I recommend reading the whole thing. One of the things I love most about this university is that everyone loves to learn!! Are you entering for the summer or fall term? I have found what helps the anxiety of leaving home is traveling..with others or youself and you get used to different areas. Anyways, I know how you feel and wish you the best.

" One of the things I love most about this university is that everyone loves to learn "

Hahahaha hahahaha ha

How soon you'll realize the hard way that this simply isn't the case.

um..i don't think so, but thanks for the warning.
