my dream is to major in music business because i want to start a record company or something like that, maby producing, who knows? I feel that there is more of a market for the music that i want to deal with up north. Staying close to cities like New York, philly, or boston is big because thats where the opportunites are.

Have you researched Berklee College in Boston? That is a great place and a top drawer reputation....I would see what they have for you. The location is the best part of the whole deal.

i have looked into it. Although i can play a mulltitude of instruments, they are all by ear. I can not read music, and berklee requires you to audition.

Have you considered one of their summer programs? You could audition without reading music actually but if they want you to read and have theory it isn't that hard to get a start on that now. It is a great program.

tcnj is a big reach, however they do need oos kids. Their ave. sat score is in the low 1300's. According to another parent I know that has looked into UNH, it is not a safety for the business school. I know someone that applied last year with a 1250 and decent grades from a very good hs, and was rejected.

I wanted to add that Hofstra has become a more competitive school in recent years. I agree with Huske that it is still a safety.
