Nervous

So UVA's average GPA is 3.75+ for about 90% of their applicants. However, I have a 3.73 unweighted (4.1-ish W). Do I even have a chance for this uni?

My SAT Scores are okay (2180) and my SAT II's are nice (Bio 780, Math II 780,US Hist 790) and I have a rack of EC's and nice Teacher Rec's. But I'm still thinking that I have absolutely no chance,

Just relax. You will know soon enough. If you get in…YAY! If not, you will undoubtedly be happy elsewhere.

I think you have a chance though.

You have a chance. Lots of those 3.75+'s probably went to joke high schools where the average GPA is 3.99999999. You sound like a strong candidate, especially if you’re in-state.

Really? I wasn’t aware that colleges took the difficulty (or were even aware of it) of specific highschools into account.

Oh yeah. They definitely do.

Well, that makes me feel a lot better. Thanks!

In-state or OOS?

In-state! 10char

You in-state people are soo lucky. Virginia is probably the prettiest state in the union and in my opinion it has the best education system.

^ Why, thank you. I would say that I have great pride in my state. Educational systems are nice on the Northern End and are less focused in the Southern End but some Magnet Schools near Richmond are extremely impressive. I’ve dreamt of attending UVA my whole life, it’s a beautiful university with a rich sense of history. I hope that my dismal freshman year doesn’t keep me from reaching all the goals that I have for myself but only time will tell.
