Hey guys, I'm really nervous about college now, and I really want to get into UCLA.
Can someone give me the flat out honest truth if I have a chance?

SAT grades:
reading 630
Writing 680
Math 790
Total:2100

Overall High school GPA Unweighted: Sophmore(3.4)+Junior(3.8)= 3.6
Overall weighted high school GPA: Sophmore( 3.6)+ Junior(4.3)= 3.95

I'm hoping my senior semester will raise both of those GPA's up by about .1....

AP and Honors Classes so far:

Algebra 2 trigonometry Honors,
AP euro,
AP Physics,
AP biology,
AP Statistics,
AP calc,
AP Chem,
AP English.

Extra Curriculars:
Eagle Scout,(Organized a 350+ hr service project)
500+ hours of volunteering at a hospital,
School and County Band,
Certificate of Merit(Piano),
Hospital internship over the summer,
Varsity Golf senior year.
Founder and President of Letters to the World Club(Humanitarian club where we write letters to address global conflicts with our opinions)
and a few more smaller things, but those are my main ones.

Yeah, your ECs are impressive, but…GPA is so much more important, and yours is well below the average (4.38 weighted and 3.87 unweighted). You are borderline. Write a really good essay.

Since you’re on the bottom edge, the % might be closer to 20%. If you write good essays you can improve your chances. It might help to emphasize how much community service you’ve done.

Has anyone taken Math 31B? How difficult is it? Namely with Watson or Rothschild. I looked on BruinWalk, but would like some more input from here.
