Congrats to all. I learned, the hard way, that some NESCACs, recruit several months ahead of the other conferences. All ended well, but just a reminder that there is no single formula to this process and to all to ask the coaches the tough questions early on.
DD finds out tomorrow as well. I AM a nervous wreck. She has a meet tomorrow evening and says she will not check until after she is done. It will take every ounce of willpower I have not to open her admissions portal!
Good luck everyone!!!
DD is officially a future Eph!!!
Thanks so much for all of the emotional support through this positively stressful process.
Hope to hear good news from the rest of you!
DS is also officially a future Eph!!!
Thanks to all the posters who take the time to offer advice!
@shuttlebus Congrats!
I saw on another thread that @mickmantle DD is headed there too.
An awful lot of purple and gold here…
I’m so excited for all of them!
@PerpetualWorrier @shuttlebus – Congrats!!
It was a kick to look back at your notes on this thread written in July, five very long months ago. It’s wonderful that the trust you all put in the respective coach(es) was well-placed. It’s also great that your kids’ hard work, both athletic and academic, has been rewarded. And even though my son is at the rival school (the one that is currently without a mascot), best of luck to you all!!
My S also got in! He will be coming to a NESCAC soccer field near you this fall. As nerve racking as the process was for me, S was confident the entire time. He was in contact with the coach all throughout the fall. That confidence turned into a magical breakout season for my him which concluded with being named Player of the Year in his conference, and All-State. So glad it has seemed to work out for all in this thread!
