NESCAC Student-Athlete

Of the following: Williams, Amherst, Middlebury, and Bowdoin,
which would be the best to study history or english, play lacrosse, and have fun?

Which school takes their lacrosse most seriously?
Which school is most academically rigorous?
Which school is most fun for student athletes?

Is there any glaring difference in the student bodies or social scene at these schools?

Any responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

All 4 schools take lax very seriously and are similarly rigorous on the academic front. NESCAC is very competitive on the lax front these days so hard to do line drawing on the lax front. You should visit each school and meet members of the lax team to get a true sense of the “fun” side of things for lax players. And of course, unless you are truly extraordinary on the academic and EC, it will be as much about which school wants your particular set of lax skills as which school you like the best. . . Also recruited athletes tend to be admitted through the ED process so, assuming you are applying next year, you likely will need to winnow down between now and the fall ED deadline (Nov 15). If the coach wants you, he will tell you whether you need to apply ED . . .

Definitely meet some of lax players at each school and get a sense of the lax culture at the college.
