The debate is far more complicated than that video would lead you to believe and chances are you don't grasp what the dire ramifications would be with the passing of such a law. The oppertunity costs here of instituting enforced net neutrality are much greater than you'd imagine.

If you over simplify the issue down to people vs corporations it is easy to defend internet neutrality legislation, however if you recognize the true complexity of the issue you would not be so quick to endorse it. So I invite all of you who watch this video to do your research before signing the petition and educate yourself rather than allowing the video to manipulate and take advantage of the predictable impulses it is intended to invoke.

I personally see merit on both sides and am undecided on my own stance.

I LOVE how you assume that I don't understand situation the just because I supplied a link.

I made that assumption because rather than wishing to establish a dialogue you created a vague thread reading, "watch this video and sign the petition" with a link to a clever piece of propaganda.

Though I will admit that I am guilty of that assumption, it is a bad habit of mine, if I was incorrect and you have done your research evaluating both the arguments and counterarguments of both sides than I apologize.

Net neutrality would be the first piece of legislation specifically regulating the internet, which up until now has been free from most bureaucratic meddling. While, tiered pricing of connections by ISP's is certainly something that we should be trying to avoid, is this the way that it should be done?

Perhaps, instead of regulating telecom companies more, the problem is because of the local monopolies held by each telecom.
