I've started on my research on potential colleges to go to, but there's been a roadblock in my plans. Whenever I try to go onto a net price calculator from College Board, the page suddenly cannot load and I'm stuck. Has anyone else had this problem? How can I fix it?

Try going to the NPC on the site of the college. That’s the only way to get an accurate number anyway. Google NPC and the college name.

Try it on another computer

I haven’t had this problem, but trying another browser sometimes helps with things like this.

Try using a different browser.

Which browser are you using? Try disabling any pop-up blockers.

There are a number of schools where when you go to the school’s finaid page NPC it links to a collegeboard NPC. It’s still school specific though.

I tried Firefox, Chrome, and Explorer and they all didn’t work. But I just used another computer and it worked fine. Thanks 4kidsdad!

As noted by @annoyingdad, for those colleges that use the College Board NPC, going to the college’s website will take you right back to the College Board website. It just takes longer to get there!

^ Yes, and you can only find out if a school links to the CB site by going through the school. And for those that DON"T use the CB site, you would actually get a more accurate number.

My experience is that even for schools that use the College Board NPC, the inputs and calculations are tailored for the specific school (as annoyingdad has already pointed out), so it’s no less accurate than any school that uses a different NPC.
