Net price versus Actual offer

Hi all – Wanted to start this thread on the amount estimated by net price calculator and what was actually offered. Please also enter your experience, even if there was no discrepancy (as this will show that the net price works well).

Can people who may have been offered need-based financial aid please post this information with following details:

Name of University/College:

ED or EA or RD applicant:

Year of admission:

Instate or out of state (if applicable, example for public universities):

Net price calculated amount:

Actual offer:

Reason for discrepancy if known: Examples - Used net price calculator incorrectly. Reason unknown. Got an additional merit scholarship.

Thanks so much.

You want people to disclose the names of the schools they were admitted to and the amount of need-based financial aid that the schools offered? Really?

What I will say is every school DS was accepted to had final offers VERY close to that which the net price calculator kicked out.

How in the world would you use this for your purposes?
It doesn’t matter what other people received because it doesn’t affect your aid.
I wouldn’t want to share my confidential information across a busy website.

You do realize that this site is called College Confidential, right? Asking users to share personal info is not in the spirit. Closing thread.
