Hey i've been fighting over this question forever and it's a big hassle.
I was accepted into both pharmacy programs at St. John's and Northeastern.
However Northeastern gave me a little less money and is 7,000 more expensive then St. John's so it's become a tough choice. I reside in Northern New Jersey, but location isn't a big deal to me at all.
I'm just wondering which I should go to and for what reason. I've heard bad things about both schools and I'd like to take some information directly related to my predicament so that it is much more clear and cut. Also if you're gonna talk about academics and professors, i'm mainly only interested in the pharmacy aspects. I also got into St. John's Honors program, but not into Northeastern Honors program.
Thanks for the comments and I hope you really help me. <(^_^)>

I applied to both, got a $16000 a year scholarship at St. John’s and $10000 at Northeastern. I decided to go to Northeastern even though its more expensive because I like where the campus is located, I like the campus better, It’s a better school academically, and it has the coop program.

St. John’s isn’t a bad school but I live near it so I know a few people that go there. They don’t really like it or not like it, and for the most part the kids that got into better academic schools went to those instead.

what bad things u hear about both schools??

I got a full ride to St. John’s and 13 a year to Northeastern. I’m almost positive I’ll be in Boston next year for a couple of reasons.

I’m a LGBT student and St. John’s is conservative and openly against LGBT diversity. (theyve shot down a pride union twice in the last ten years).

The school is ‘committed to a catholic education’ meaning they require theology classes and religion is a constant presence on campus. I’m just not looking for that in my education…

Northeastern is, unequivocally, a better academic school for undergrads. Plus to co-op aspect of northeastern make it 10x better.

The location is awesome too. But… that’s my thought process hope it helps a bit.
