I started the common app but northeastern's supplement isn't available yet. Does anyone know when it will be available?

Also, another question (unrelated) I have is NEU's interview policy. Do they offer them to all prospective freshmen or is it only for certain students (or not at all)? Thanks!

Not sure when the supplement will be out. But the deadline for EA is usually around Nov 1st, so even if you’re planning on doing EA you have a lot of time! It only takes about two seconds from what I remember.

And as far as interviews, I don’t think they hold much weight as far as admission. I don’t remember hearing about kids getting interviews, but I’m sure if you asked for one they’d give it to you. I dunno, perhaps if you were considering playing for a sports team.

My understanding is that, while its important to establish interest in the school, you can normally satisfy this by simply attending an official campus visit. If you live in the Boston area, you may want to go ahead with an interview just because it will be relatively easier to set up, and basically demonstrates the maximum level of interest possible.

I was accepted early action and only attended a campus visit, btw.

JSYK, NEU does not offer interviews.

Well that explains why I’d never actually met anyone who had taken one…

People in other CC posts said NEU had no supplemental essay, that it just basic info to fill out again.

Yeah, in fact Northeastern actually says they WON’T do interviews. So if you go to admissions and hope that you can turn a couple of informational questions into an interview of the student, they won’t let you.
