Both of these school gave me enough money for me to attend, but I am not sure which I would rather attend.
As of now, I am between English and Economics for my major of choice (I would like to double major). I also enjoy drawing/painting and i play a few instruments, so I’d like a school where continuing to do that would be possible.
I am planning on applying to grad school when the time comes, so which univerty is more appealing for that.
With Case Western, I like that the school and class sizes are smaller. I like how they separate dorms based on interest, and Cleveland has a lot that appeals to me (only a couple hours away, the have a great art gallery, not extremely expensive if I wanted to get an apartment). I’ve also read that Case Western prepares you more than NEU for grad school, whereas NEU prepares you for a job, is this true?
With Northeastern, I like Boston and would like to live there, and I find the co-op program interesting, but I am less sure that the school would fufill my love for the arts. Everything seems very STEM and business oriented from what I’ve read online, so if anyone has any insight on NEU English programs, I’d be interested. I also find NEU as more of a party school (compared to Case Western) which I would not mind–In fact I might prefer it because I want to have fun in college as well as academically succeed–but I’m not sure how this impacts the quality of education/reputation.
Which university would better prepare me for grad school for either economics or English?
Which school has a better reputation?
Which university is a better fit for someone interested in not only STEM
