Hi,
I am an international futur undergrad student and I have been admitted to Northeastern’s school of engineering, NYU and UW and I really don’t know which one has the best curriculum/coop chances/engineering program anf future employment chances.
Any advice ? Could you tell me which one is best and why ?
You will be very employable at all three of those universities but they offer different things.
First, make sure you are direct admit to UW’s Engineering. If you aren’t you aren’t guaranteed to be able to major in it: you will have to apply once there.
NEU will offer a focus on experience with the co-op program while you are in school.
NYU will prepare you for employment but will focus on academics.
My personal ranks:
Curriculum/Engineering: UW > NEU and NYU but make sure you are direct admit
Job Prospects: NEU > NYU and UW
Also as always, consider cost. Is price an issue?
Also don’t forget to consider location preferences. Do you want full city, campus in a city or mostly campus?
Thanks for your reply !
Money isn’t an issue for now. I’m actually looking for the school that balalnces between great academics, Post graduation employability and great social life ( As an international student social life is very important to have a gret social atmosphere or else the homesickness will be unbearable). NYU Poly’s campus is far away from NYU’s main campus and i’ve heard that engineering students rarely come in contact with the other students of NYU but I don’t know if that is true.
My location preference is: New York>Boston>Seattle
For now i think that NEU is my best option but i have some serious thinking to do before i can make my decision.
Again, thank you for your help !
