Hi I recently received my letter of admission to Tufts, including a letter notifying me I had been selected for the Neubauer Scholarship. I understand this is a great honor and I am surprised and excited to have received this prestigious scholarship. I was wondering if anyone else got this scholarship and if anyone wanted to share stats/ECs? Or if any current students/administrators had any input with regard to weighing the Neubauer scholarship @ Tufts against other schools.

I doubt you’ll find anyone on the CC boards to help with this specific concern, but if you want to email me, I’ll make sure you get hooked up with the contacts you need.

I thought Tufts doesn’t offer merit-based scholarship.

We don’t. It’s not merit based.

Wait, what is it based off of then?

Hi I’m applying ED to Tufts this fall but have never heard of this scholarship before. Could anyone explain the eligibility of this scholarship and how to apply for it? Thanks
I don’t think that you apply for it, I think you just get it with your financial aid (they choose you when you apply to the school, you don’t have to do anything else to be eligible). At least that’s what happened to me! I didn’t know that it existed before. I really don’t know how the eligibility works, but I’m pretty sure it’s merit-based (maybe also need-based? idk tbh sorry to be unhelpful)
My friend did not apply for financial aid but got the Neubauer scholarship. It offers research fund too.
