Neurobiology/Phys/Behavior

How is the program for NPB^ at Davis? Anyone taken some classes for this major? How are the professors/class sizes? How challenging are the courses?

The courses are very large. Professors are good, but tough graders. Many students enjoy NPB 101, Systemic Physiology and report it as being difficult but interesting – which sums up the major. Some people who don’t do well switch to Exercise Biology, since the majors are similar, but ex bio is perceived to be easier. It is one of the largest majors in the College of Biological Sciences, but funding is short and they may be cutting some classes next year. Behavior usually focuses on non-human animals such as birds. Most NPB majors are pre-med.
