<p>I'm a junior this year and Kenyon has reached the top of my list as far as desired colleges go. Tuition/Room&Board aside (yikes, I need to pull together some scholarship money), how is the Neuroscience program? I've been exploring different possible fields of study and am thinking about Neuroscience. I've heard Kenyon offers (under majors) BioChem and BioPsych tracks. Any opinions regarding either? Strengths? Weaknesses?</p>
<p>Also, I'm interested in taking creative writing courses in college. I've heard excellent things about Kenyon's programs. Any comments in regard to creative writing at Kenyon?</p>
<p>I know Kenyon is mostly known for their English department (at least that's what I've gathered), so I'm wondering how you guys would rate their sciences.</p>
<p>I honestly think that the science departments are actually better than the English department in a lot of respects. The science departments are all awesome; the science quad is fairly new, and all of the labs are state of the art. Plus, because the departments tend to be smaller, you can count on knowing all of your department’s professors very personally, which comparatively few English majors really do.</p>
<p>Hey! I don’t know exactly what the program is just yet but I can tell you that I’m attending as a freshman this upcoming year and I am majoring in Neuroscience. Doooooo it!</p>
<p>One other thing. I suppose this is a while after the fact, but o well.
You mention BioChem and BioPsych. Big difference! BioChem requires a serious brain, you wont be able to get away with a combination of BS Psychology and half ass Bio courses as you could in a Psych related field.</p>

Dance and Drama (This isn’t really fair as both require a certain skill set which if you don’t have you’re hopeless, but in terms of intelligence, they are less demanding than those in above groups)

<p>waaaait a minute owlehn you were talking about the biochem/biopsych tracks for neuroscience weren’t you? because for the neuroscience major you can chose to concentrate in the chemical or the psychological aspect of neuroscience. i’m doing biochem, because it requires me to take certain classes such as organic chemistry/biology/calc that can count toward my premed requirements. and sweeeeet future classmate from nigeria, i can’t wait to see you this fall :)</p>
