Neuroscience PhD Chances?

<p>Hi,
I was wondering about my chances of getting into a neuroscience graduate program. My GRE is kind of low, but I have a high GPA. My stats are:</p>

<p>GRE: 480 verbal/730 quantitative/3.5 analytical writing
GPA: 4.0 (major in chemistry with minor in biology)
I performed research at my undergraduate institution for about 2.5 years with two different professors in organic synthesis chemistry and genetics and had a summer-long retrovirus/pathology research internship at a larger school.
I've spent a year in China teaching English while deciding which academic route to pursue.</p>

<p>Nobody can “chance” you for graduate programs - “chances” are nonsense.</p>

<p>I would retake the GRE - your verbal/AW score is pretty low and that might raise red flags somewhere, though your GPA is, of course, outstanding. I’d be surprised if you didn’t get in somewhere.</p>

<p>Stats don’t come close to telling the whole tale for graduate admissions. Your research background and professor recommendations will be key. Seek out programs and professors with research that interests you.</p>
