I am going to be a senior and have narrowed my college search to Franklin & Marshall, Vanderbilt, Washington and Lee, and Bucknell. I am 3rd in my class, all A's, 4.0 unweighted GPA, and a composite SAT score of 1880. I need some "safe" schools that have a well developed neuroscience undergrad program. I plan on going to med school after my undergrad. Help??

University of Pittsburgh

conn college is SAT optional and has a great neuroscience program

University of Evansville

I second University of Pittsburgh. Great and established program with large resources available for further medical and biological studies.

The 1880 SAT could be problematic for some of these schools. However, you could consider adding Lafayette (since you seem to like LAC) and U Rochester (research U), plus I agree with Pitt (large state-related school). I just don’t know that I’d call any of them safeties with an 1880. They all offer neuroscience and are respected for it.

UAB has a psych based neuroscience undergrad program. with your stats you will get automatic merit. uab is home of a top medical school as well
