I'm planning on switching my major to either of these, but I'm having trouble deciding which one. I am a life science undeclared and definitely want to study the mind/brain. What are the pros and cons of each?

93 views and no comments… lol come on, plz anybody?

Could you minor in one?

Neuroscience = hardcore anatomy and function memorization
Psychobiology = empirical, experimental studies to investigate behavior

Psychobio is easier. Trust me. It seems like my neuroscience friends are constantly studying while me and my psychobio friends don’t have to put in nearly as much effort. Also, your GPA will probably take a hit from the Neuroscience 101 series.

Thanks for the input everybody! Psychobio seems a bit more interesting and I’ve been hearing that it’s easier. I’m leaning towards it right now

Neurosci major here. Not easy at all, but very rewarding. Call me bias but even though the degrees are decently similar, the job prospects for neurosci is greater for university level research if that is what you wish to get into. If you want the easier of the two then neuro is not the one. Good luck making your decision.

thanks! ^ i’ll make my decision probably the end of my soph year.
