Does WashU offer a major/minor/concentration in Neuroscience??

There's the PNP (philosophy-neuroscience-psychology) program that a lot of people I know are planning on.

what if you are planning to become a neurosurgeon? what kind of major/minor/concentration do you guys recommend?

It is a long way from undergraduate to neurosurgeon. It is a little like asking which pre-school you should attend to get into Harvard. Your sequence is:

Undergrad--->Med School--->Residency in Surgery--->Fellowship in Neuro

You need to look at one goal at a time, so your immediate goal is to study something in which you are interested and will prepare you for med school. The list of majors that meet those criteria is very long. PNP would be great, but so would a straight philosophy major (believe it or not).

I would just pick something you enjoy where you can also take the required pre-med classes and make excellent grades.

i agree with above post, but if you really want to do something neurosciency at washu, there's always the neuroscience track within the biology major. however, there's limited slots, and so you need a minimum gpa to actually enter it (you sign up by sophomore year). from what i've heard though, the requirements for the neuro track are pretty lengthy, and it ends up sucking up a lot of class space that you might have used otherwise for trying new classes.
