I'm going to either UCLA or UCB as a psychology major, but I have had a change of hear, and want to pursue neuroscience. Because this is hard as an undergrad, I've looked into the neuroscience graduate departments at UCB and UCLA, and they all take psyc majors if the coursework is science based. Due to this change, I need to take a bunch of lower division classes at whichever UC I end up attending(a year of physics, life science, chem...)in order to take the "neuroscience emphasis psych classes". Is it bad to take a bunch of lower division classes at a UC? is this going to cause me problems?

My sister has a similar interest as you, but she is considering taking the biochemistry with a minor in psychology route.

I say it’s worth it whatever you do. I don’t know the difference between UC, UCLA, and UCB so I cannot answer that question.

I hope you find the answers you seek!
