<p>Is this a bad sign? I live in a highly populated metropolitan area, and got interviews for all my other colleges.</p>
<p>No- you can search the other threads about this topic, it just means that there were a lot of people who applied, or a shortage of alumni interviewers, or something like that. Don’t stress it - from all accounts, interviews aren’t a really big part of your application anyway</p>
<p>I know this kid who applied who is a bum and has no chance of admission (no, seriously) and he got an interview, so I wouldn’t worry too much.</p>
<p>I never got one either. 
I wonder if it’s because I’m the only one applying from my tiny private school, as there’s an extremely competitive prep highschool (with IB and the works) in the same county. I’ve heard some organize potential interviewees by school.</p>
<p>Honestly, even if it doesn’t technically affect my chances, I can’t help but think it means I’m screwed for the big H. I didn’t get a chance to tell them more about myself than my application could convey. Makes me sad.
My Yale interview was so incredibly awesome, though, so I’m hopeful.</p>
<p>Everyone I know who has gotten into D’mouth so far did not get an interview. They just can’t get to everyone. Don’t stress.</p>
<p>I didn’t get a Yale interview, and neither did my friend who is also applying there. I don’t think they have any alumni interviewers in our area. Certainly, it would be better if we had an interview, but it isn’t a mark against you if you don’t have one.</p>

<p>@ Prussia: Yeah, I didn’t even really think about Harvard on a daily basis after my interview in December. After my second trimester exams though, it’s all I can think about.</p>

<p>Please don’t be discouraged by not having been contacted for an interview. It is no reflection on the merits of your application. Believe me, there is no correlation AT ALL with getting interviewed and being a viable candidate!</p>
