Never Got Reply Back From Update Letter?

Hi! I sent a personal update e-mail five days ago to all of my colleges, however, the only college that I have not gotten a reply from (even if it was just a “the e-mail has been received” reply) is Columbia.

Does Columbia usually take a long time to send a reply back (I wouldn’t be surprised) or does Columbia not even send reply letters to update e-mails?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I sent Columbia and my other colleges and email updating them about a significant award. They haven’t written back either, and I even called them to ask what the right email address was. Maybe they just don’t write back… :open_mouth:

I think you both need to accept that maybe they’re too busy to reply to every submitted email/update by nervous applicants – especially since we’re in March – the apex of their decision making. Just let it go, folks. Remember: your update letter seems to you to hopefully be a tip-in item for a dream college. To them, it’s one of tens of thousands of docs – many of which are completely extraneous.

I was an ED applicant who was accepted and also sent them an update e-mail before our decisions are released. They never responded to me, but it ended up working out just fine!

@T26E4 I spoke to the Columbia admissions office and was told that they do not respond to update emails. Only inquiries, which are sent to a different address, are answered.
