I was setup with an interview about a month ago for my JHU ED app. After no contact with the person for 7 days, I emailed them back. They told me to be patient for another week or so. Two weeks later, still no contact. So I contacted them again, and they still told me to be patient. Anyways, by now I think it's pretty much too late to still get the interview with the guy I was assigned with.

My question is, will not doing the interview I was set-up with hurt my chances at all, even though I tried my best to contact them?

The same thing happened to me. After about 3 weeks without a reply, I contacted JHU NASC and they informed me that my interviewer was no longer "active". According to them, the interview is intended to be more of an informational meeting than a critical part of the applications process, so we shouldn't be affected too much by not doing interviews.

Not doing an interview will in no way impact your chances for admission. If you requested an off-campus alumni interview but for certain reasons one was not able to be conducted, a note will be added to your application file stating such.

Do remember though that interviews are NOT required and they are informational.
