Hey guys,
ED applicant to Dartmouth here for Fall 2022. I got all my required documents in, but just yesterday I realized I had never done the CSS or IDOC; they showed an X on the Financial Aid page of my app!
I got them filled out and submitted today—however, I’m wondering if this will push me to RD consideration instead of ED? Or will I just lose the chance to get aid?
I almost definitely didn’t qualify for need-based aid anyway so that doesn’t matter but mainly just wondering if this’ll push my application into Regular Decision.
Also does anyone know what date decisions will come out? I’ve seen anywhere from the 15th (here) to the 17th (CSS).
Thanks!
Well, you already have your answer from Dartmouth at this point. Sorry folks missed your post.
No matter the outcome today with ED, I am sure you will be someplace great next year.
If you were not applying for financial aid at Dartmouth, you did not need to do the CSS or IDocs. I am wondering if you checked a box about applying for aid or your sent the FAFSA to them accidentally and that triggered the checklist for aid.
Maybe you can share what the response was for future applicants to Dartmouth.
Good luck!

Thanks for getting back to me. I got deferred. Initially very upset because I put so much into the whole process but obviously it just wasn’t meant to be, or it’ll play out in RD if it is.
I’m probably applying ED2 elsewhere now.

Good luck. You will land in the right place for you.
With your EDII and RDs just monitor the portals. We found as it gets closer to the announcement dates they will update the IDOC list, etc… if you are not applying for financial aid any where then that is not an issue.
