Never Taken ACT - Clueless.

Please help me by recommending great books to study for this! i hear science is the killer so any tips for that ? Thanks!

You don’t need any previous knowledge going into science. It helps, but it’s not necessary. Science is about critical thinking. To score well in science, all you have to do is be able to look at lots of text and data, and pretty much find out (quickly) which parts are important. The answers to every question in the science portion is literally right there on the page, you just need to know what the questions are asking and be able to discern the information.

The English components are easier than on the SAT(IMO) because of the lack of vocabulary questions. Math is similar (again IMO) to the SAT in terms of difficulty.

I recommend you just look at a lot of example questions and maybe take a practice test to get a feel for the timing and flow of the test. I didn’t do ANY preparation going into my first ACT, because I wanted to get my scores, find out where I was weak, and focus on strengthening that, so I could go back and post a good score my second time. I only ended up taking it once because I did very well.
