I remember seeing him explain this somewhere else, but I'm pretty sure that he lives in Egypt, and the school he goes to forces their students to take the SAT like every time it's offered their junior and senior years or something.

wow i thought i had taken too many times with a 4

shravas - yes to all. Except maybe the forcing part. We were never forced ot take it all 12 times, everyone just wanted to go with the flow because all the other kids were going it, however, the school did...encourage us..to do it (after all, they're taking 20 dollars from each registration into their pockets) :)

are there really specific times to take the SAT when the curves are lower than usual???

there's no specific guideline, but from the past two years, I'd have to say that December is always the worst, while January and May are the best times to take them.

NotAmbidextrous, what a waste though if you're not applying to US schools! You already spent so much money on taking the SAT, you might as well apply to some schools and see if you can get in. 2000+ is a great score, especially from Egypt, and even though you did take it 12 times (I honestly thought you were joking the first time you said this), I don't think it's going to count against you all that much (see tokenadult's post somewhere).

Anyways, coodos for you for being willing to take it that many times. lol

Oh yeah, and are the June curves usually good or bad?

both times I took the June test, it was okay. Not too bad, but not too good either.
And I did send my last scores to a few US colleges, but I think I missed the deadlines(Feb), lol.

Why would you have missed the deadline? Are you a senior right now?

yeah .

what about the october curve?

lol, um...well, it was easier in 2006 than '05 (the year they screwed up 4000 scores). So I guess that it's a little unpredictable.
