11/2/13 (Junior, some math prep :D) - 2270
M: 770 (have no idea how that leap happened haha) CR: 740 W: 760

Superscored, I have a 2300 (M:770, CR:770, W:760). Even though I'm thrilled with my total scores, to be honest, I'm pretty disappointed in my CR and W scores. I got an 80 on the Writing section of the PSAT both this year and last year, so I know I'm capable of more than a 760... Even for CR, I usually scored better than 770 on practice tests. Haha, I know this sounds really obnoxious and really first world problem-y, but I really don't know if I should retake it... I'm really only considering it to bump my superscored from a 2300 to a 2300+.

So my basic question is, should I retake the SAT for a third time to raise my W and CR scores? I'm pretty sure I'll be able to raise them (although at this point, it's a matter of missing one or two questions :/), but at the same time, I don't think I can manage a 770 in Math again. That was an honest-to-God miracle hahaha; I wasn't expecting more than a 700.
I'm shooting for Ivy League schools, if that affects your answer.
TL;DR - Should I take the SAT one more time to raise score from 2270, potentially improving my W and CR scores, but taking into account the fact that M might drop?

Definitely not. Your scores are superb as well as balanced. In my eyes taking it a third time looks worse than any slight score improvement would help. (Just got into Yale having taken it twice with essentially the exact same scores)

You ever heard of this thing called score choice? No harm in taking it again.

In my opinion there is no logical reason to blow some more money taking the score again. Unless you’re looking for perfect 800s, chances are you won’t do much better. i would spend the time and money doing anything.

No. Even without superscoring, your 2270 makes you competitive at every undergraduate institution regardless of race/gender (with regards to test scores). Congrats and focus on other things.

@BassGuitar if Yale is the dream for OP then it might be relevant to know that it (as well as many other schools he/she might be shooting for) does not accept score choice.
