Never took PSAT

I’m an incoming junior, so I assume that come march I will take the 2016 SAT. The problem is that my school never administered the PSAT or the PACT, because it was a weird transition time switching from the ACT to the SAT. I’m worried that I will be ill prepared come spring, so how should I prepare? Are there any books or courses I should take?

You will need to take the PSAT in OCT of 2015 if you are considering National Merit.

The PSAT is administered in October every year. It’s a shorter version of the SAT, and solely used for National Merit awards. If you want to start prepping for the 2016 SAT that will first come out in March of 2016, get the SAT Blue Book and familiarize yourself with the practice tests. I understand this will be a new version, so make sure your prepping for the new SAT.

If I were you, I would start with https://www.khanacademy.org/sat for free prep, you should also get the new Official SAT Study Guide (2016 Edition) available June 30, 2015, you can pre order it on Amazon.
