<h2>I stopped playing after 3rd gen, but I played a little 4th gen to see how it was.</h2>
<p>analysis:
Grass starter pokemon looks epic, which is good since grass has usually been the most lame starter</p>

<p>Also, the gym leaders have been reported on Bulbapedia (but their servers are timing out right now). The first gym has three leaders that use the three starter types.</p>

<p>“Pokemon” and “epic” should not go together. Every Pokemon since the DS has been tol “cutesie.” What are they going to throw puffballs at me or something?</p>

<p>This generation is the worst so far. 3 Fire/Fighting starter in a row is lame. Mono Grass and Water starters are also lame. The legendaries look like trash and there’s some serious Attack inflation. There’s like, 10 non-legendaries with 130+ base Attack. Also Mamambo is not the evolution of Luvdisc ***</p>
<p>Just wanted to say that’s supposed to say “too,” not “tol” in my last post. It’s too late to edit and I just now caught it.</p>
<p>how can you like these things? theyre like little japanese cutesy characters.</p>
<p>The character design is going downhill a lot.</p>
<p>But I think that the game mechanics and strategy will definitely be more complex and improved.</p>
<p>They all seem to be really cartoonish versions of the Generation 1 Pokemon. They kind of resemble Neopets in a way.</p>
<p>Edit: And #583 looks like a nightmarish ice cream cone.</p>
<p>Oh, wow… Not going to lie: many of those have **** names. “Borutorosu”, “Birijion”, “Sazando”, “Wargle”, seriously?..</p>
<p>Wow, who knew HSL was so picky about their Pokemon? /vp/ is in love with these new Pokemon. General opinions:</p>

<li>Starters suck. I’ll probably box mine.</li>
<li>Beyond that, a lot of good new Pokemon have been released. Steel Mole has an ability that doubles his speed (88 base already) in Sand, and has monstrous attack stats.</li>
<li>Lots of new type combinations that will be interesting to see.</li>
<li>The storyline actually seems legit this time around, what with N being a Pokemon-human “link species”.</li>
<li>Cynthia makes a return, and you do get to battle her.</li>
</ol>
<p>This is shaping up to be a fantastic generation. And for those of you who are complaining about the new Pokemon being too cutesy, what are you on? Desukan, Abagoora, Aekeosu, Shubarugo, Shibirudon, Ononokusu, Kirikizan, Wargle, Sazando, and Gigaiasu would like to have a word with you all.</p>

sorry I am not happy with what the pokemon expansions have become, gochizeru, daburan, otamaru, shimama, erufuun, iwaparesu, really? i mean the last one is a piece of sediment with legs. and chillarmy, what are you gonna do, attack me with your cuteness? don’t get me started on “gear”, it’s literally 2 gears. and it’s evolved form is… wait for it… 3 gears! -.-</p>
<p>5th Generation to me has become a disappointment. Most of the Pokemon don’t look like Pokemon any more. They don’t have that same charm as in Generation I-IV. Nevertheless, I’m still going to buy Black/White.</p>
<p>The water starter looks cooler than the other starters since it has a shell to use as a weapon, so I might pick that.</p>
<p>I’m with Seahawks506. It’s like, “Really, you couldn’t come up with anything better than a gear? Not even a wrench?”</p>
<p>I mean come on, when you resort so something like that you are just running out of ideas. They should have stopped after Ruby/Sapphire.</p>
