Hello everyone,

my son has applied to UF and to FSU. When he submitted his application in early September all we had was his June 2010 ACT scores where he got a composite score of 27. He's in the top 10% of his class, 4.4 GPA, 10 AP classes and 8 honors classes, National Honor society and HOSA member.

He took the October 23rd ACT and achieved a 30 (31 English, 29 Math, 31 Reading and 28 science) but those scores will not be transmitted to the universities until the writing section has been scored which is probably not for another 3 weeks. Will UF use his new ACT score for admision since the 1st notification date is February 12th or will they only consider his old scored? That kid worked his tail off all summer to get that 30 and I'd hate to think that he would not get in.

Anyone know?

Thanks much!
