I just received my ACT writing score today: 31 (11 for each of the domain scores). Is this considered good enough for Ivy League schools like Princeton and Yale? Or would it be worth my time to take the test again in hope of getting a better score? Since the new scoring method was instituted with the September exam administration, it hasn’t been made clear what constitutes a great score. With some schools no longer requiring the writing section, I’m not sure how much weight admissions officers still put on this score.
Yes, it is excellent, and no, they don’t care much about the writing score.
